Thanks are in order!

I would like to say a HUGE thankyou to Carole, Lesley and Dianne for the donation of cards, images and bookmarks for Ronald McDonald House.
You have been very generous with your time and skills, and it is much appreciated. Your cards are lovely.
I will photograph the stash for the next newsletter.

More RMH cards

Here are a few cards I came up with today. I CASEd the layouts from somewhere, and can't remember where! If you are the original creator of the layout, please let me know so I can credit you.

I am still LOVING the Enchante papers. I am on to my second packet, and just know I had better stock up in case they retire!

You can't see it in the pick, but on the first two cards I have inked up the edges of the paper and cardstock with choc chip ink, and have also done some paper piercing on the vanilla cardstock. They look much nicer in real life!

Magnets

I can't remember where I first saw this idea (though you can find examples in lots of places), but I loved it and have been meaning to try it for ages. I am planning to do another market in the not-too-distant future, and thought these would make a cute addition to the table, sold in sets of 4.

The flash obviously doesn't do the picture any good, but hopefully you can still see them clearly enough.

They are so quick, and quite addictive to make. I am trying to hunt up some bigger clear nuggets, if anyone sees any, let me know!

Tissue Box - is it finished?

So, I have been making this tissue box this afternoon.

My daughters assure me it is "so pretty mumma" (imagine this said in breathless awe by a 5 and 3 yo!)

I, however, am not convinced it is 'finished'.

Any thoughts?
ETA: My 3yo has come up and asked for about ten tissues so far because 'they are so beautiful mummy. That is the most beautiful box in the whole wide world" (I am not making this up!)
Makes me wonder quietly to myself why I don't make more things for my own children and home when they get such a kick out of it!

Introducing...The INKspiring Stampers!

Hi everyone,

Now that my team name has been approved, I can shout it to the world..

We are The INKspiring Stampers!!

What do you think?

Over the next few days I will hunt up my team's blogs for you to have a sticky at.

Our camping got rained out this week, but we have been extra busy doing (?) things around the home and with the kids, so I have not done alot of crafting. I am almost finished a tissue box though, so will be able to put that up soon.

Tomorrow's Special Sunday giveaways are scheduled to go out by email this week as I thought I was going to be away, so make sure you are subscribed to my newsletter! (visit my website and click on my contact page to subscribe).

Hope you are all off being very crafty!

Pocket Notes...

...are my absolutely favourite thing from the summer mini. They are so versatile - they can be used as gift cards/tags, acceptance cards, birth announcements, and my fave new idea - journalling 'tags' on a scrapbook page. Embellish the front, and then place the journalling inside. How fun!

Here are two pocket notes I made whilst I was away.

Aplogies for another dodgy pic, the camera is packed, so I had to scan them!

I used another SAB set to stamp on the pink one - friendship blooms (LOVE that little swirl!) and the second pocket note is stamped with bud basics from the summer mini.

One layer card

Newsletter subscribers would have read about my recent trip to Sydney, and the challenge I set at our team gathering at Jayne's house.

The challenge was to create a 'one layer' card. Here I have used the SAB set 'Merci' which I have fallen in love with. It might be a bit hard to see as it is a white card, but I have a dodgy monitor, so you'll have to make your own mind up!

Special Sunday - a wide grosgrain giveaway...

Good morning to my Sunday girls!

This week's giveaway is a sample of very vanilla wide grosgrain ribbon (from the mini catty).

Usual rules apply - first five Australian residents who are not part of the SU! family are eligible.

Simply leave me a comment on this post and you are in!

Also, a note about the last few SS giveaways - thankyou to all of you for being so patient with me. I haven't forgotten you, life has been a little crazy with the kids, the holidays, my mum, and so on, so I just haven't had a chance to get them out. However, they will all be out tomorrow, so look out for them this week!

Away in Sydneytown...

Hi all,

I am typing this from the comfort of my friend Kathryn's computer (insert grinning smiley here!)

I am back in Sydney visiting some of my friends and old haunts, just for a few days. Andrew is at home with the kids (wish him luck!) while I have a few days of R&R.

If you need to get in touch with me whilst I am away, send me an email to zoeandjack@hotmail.com, or visit my contact page and give me a ring on my mobile. I won't have access to my admin email account until Sunday, so if you have sent me an email and I don't get back to you until after that, don't fret - I haven't forgotten you!

Hopefully when I return I'll have some new creations to show you :D

And the winner is....

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the delay! I haven't been online much in the last couple of days.

After much consideration I haven't chosen any of the suggestions here.

There are a couple of reasons for this:

Some of them are very close to other team names
Some of them don't fit SU!'s criteria (ie are too long or feature something too close to 'stampin')

I do appreciate everyone's input, and though I didn't choose a name I have still chosen a winner....

ELSA!

Elsa, you were chosen at random by Zoe, well done :)

And, I am going to have to keep you in suspense for a little while longer as to the name I plan to submit.

If you really want to know, you can email me, otherwise i plan to announce it once it is approved.

Eat Cake

Another set that I got (for my birthday thanks to my wonderful girlfriends!) and I have not been able to do anything inspiring with it.

Well, this card may not be inspiring, but I love it! I was relieved to find I still have a knack for tieing (that spelling doesn't look right ?!?) bows lol

(and yes, it hangs just a little crooked. I have been obsessing over it, but decided to let it go - it is handmade after all, with all the quirks and perks!)

This second card is a CASE of a card I saw here.

I LOVE the colours on the original, but I wanted to challenge myself with some paper I have that I can never seem to use. The results are good enough, and these cards will also go on the RMH pile...

A hello, a thankyou and some other bits and pieces

Hi everyone,

Loving the entries into the 'name my team' competition! Thanks to those of you who have entered so far :)

5 more days until comp closes, so keep those ideas coming!

An another note, the family and I will be off camping at various times this month, and I am also off to Sydney to see some girlfriends, so I will be away from my PC for alot of the time.

To this end, on the Sundays I am away, Special Sunday will be sent out via email (which I will pre-schedule) and will only be available to those of you who are on my email subscription list (if you are wondering if you are on it, I can tell you that if you have been getting emails from me with my newsletter on or about on Sundays, then you are on it. If you haven't, then you aren't, and you should be!). To subscribe, you can visit my contact page on my website. Remember you can unsub any time if you don't like what I have to say ;)

If you wish to place an order during January, I would encourage you to phone me as I can still place orders via phone. My contact details are on my website, under the tab 'contact' (something like that anyway!) Otherwise, if you are not in a rush for your goods, then email me and I will place the order when I am at my pc.

Hmmm...what else?

Here are some more RMH cards - have you started yours?

More as I think of it,

Cass
