A new catty sneek peek

This is one of the cards we made yesterday at my first INKspiring Stampers team meeting!

Thanks to Lesley for making the original design (and most of this card lol). I just added the tab punch and sentiment to make it slightly different.

We used the spotlight technique to make this one, and the main stamped images come from one of the new level 1 hostess sets A Little Bit of Happiness.

Natural Beauty

I recently purchased this stamp set after noticing a distince lack of variety in my sets (if you can believe it!

One of my favourite colours at the moment is Regal Rose (yes, I finally moved on from Tempting Turquoise!!), and I am also loving the wide ribbon.

This card that I made topday will soon be on its way to friends of ours who got married last weekend in Melbourne. We attended, and bought the present, but I FORGOT a card :O There was no way I was buying one, so they will have to settle for a better-late-than-never creation instead.

It must be time for another COMPETITION!!!!!

With 2 catalogues retiring and a new one starting, now seems like a great time to launch another competition!




There is a stamp set in the mini catty that has made it into the new one. As soon as I saw it I HAD to have it, and now I have no idea what to do with it.



So, guess what? This comp is an image competition. I am not going to tell you what the stamp set is, but I will send you multiple stamped images of it, and you will have until the end of April to submit your entry.



You can make any papercraft item, be it card, scrapbook layout (with or without pic), OTP...the only limit is your imagination!



It is open to everyone from beginners to advanced stampers. You will be judged on your own experience level, so everyone will be on a level playing field.



It is only open to Australian residents, and you do not have to use solely SU! products, use whatever is in your stash (though if you want to only use SU! products, that is okay too!)

Retiring mini items

Hello everyone!

I am back from my lovely Melbourne getaway. We saw so many friends and loved ones, I am still feeling all huggy lol

I have a demo copy of the new catty in my hot little hands - it is beautiful! I am preparing a newsletter in a minute with some goss, so make sure you are on the mailing list.

Sorry for my absence yesterday. I got so caught up in my first market that I didn't make it to my blog!

Easter baskets

How cute are these little ones!

AND, the basket only takes one quarter of a 12x12 sheet of cardstock (6x6 inches), plus a little scrap stock for the handle, meaning they are cheep too! (pun intended lol)

I then put some tissue paper inside to line them, and used the SU! scallop punch that is currently available in the US (look out for its Aussie cousin...) and coloured in a stamped image of a chicken in an egg.

Easy, and they make a great gift when filled with choccies, or are perfect for collecting easter eggs on Easter Sunday.

Cards in a bag

For want of a better title lol

I can take absolutely no credit for the design of these cards, but as soon as I saw them I fell in love, and simply had to recreate them.

I have changed the stamp sets used to try to put my mark on it somehow, but they are shamelessly lifted from Marelle. Check out her set here, or in this month's issue of S&P. Their photos are much nicer than mine ;)

Birthday Books

For the first time in ages I have made something I totally love!

I didn't reinvent the wheel, the concept of a perpetual birthday book is not mine alone, but I did come up with these particular ones.

Photo L-R: back cover, front cover feminine, front cover masculine, sample inside page (conveniently opened on my birthday month!)

These will be added to my market stock, but I am absolutely stumped as to what to charge. Any thoughts?

These are made using acrylic frames, so are reusable, and very practical for the scatterbrains amongst us (maybe I should be keeping one for myself...). They also make a great gift for teachers, and those-hard-to-buy-for friends and rellies.

Tea Bag cards

These are perfect to send to a friend or family member when you just can't be there for a cuppa and a chat...

Gift Boxes and some exciting news!

I saw a video tutorial for these origami boxes and just HAD to make them! My first attempt was disastrous, so I grabbed the DSP and sat down in front of the tutorial and did it as she did. The results were MUCH better lol

Also, some very exciting news.........

Mum is leaving the hospital today!!!!!!!!

She will have to remain in Brisbane for a week or two for tests etc, but if all goes well she will be home by the end of the month.

After 6 weeks in hospital, it is such a relief for everyone, most of all mum of course :)

Each year in March (this year you are all getting a sneak peek!) SU! announces its list of retiring stamp sets and accessories. These stamps will not be available in future publications, and whilst some of the accessories may be repackaged and available in the new 2008/2009 IB&C, some of them will retire never to be seen again.

Items shown in RED are already sold out. Items shown in YELLOW have a limited quantity and may run out soon. This list will be updated daily.

Stock listed below is available only until run out, or March 31st, whichever comes first. As you can see by the amount of red product, some of these items won't last long!

Stampin' Up! does not discount retiring products, however I am offering 10% off all retiring stamp sets and wheels, until March 31st or until that product runs out. You must purchase these items through me to benefit from this discount.

I made this set of cute notecards recently. I am in love with the 'Best Bar Codes' set from the mini catty, as you can use them to whip up quick cards for any occasion.

I have also used bold brights cardstock, and some ribbon and brads for embellishments.
