Special Sunday: A vintage brad giveaway

Hello to my Sunday girls!

Today's giveaway is a sample of Vintage Brads. I just recently got these, and have been using them to death, so you had better get in quick before I use them all!

Usual rules apply - open to first five Australian residents who are not already part of the SU! family.

Infinite Goodness

Ever since I saw this lvl 2 hostess set I knew I HAD to have it.

I haven't done much with it as yet (this is becoming a theme!), but thought it would lend itself perfectly to the 'faux tile' technique.

Because of my carpal tunnel I couldn't quite score as hard as I needed to, but I am happy enough with the results...

Materials used:
Infinite Goodness (lvl 2 hostess set)
Close to Cocoa cardstock and ink
River Rock cardstock and ink
Whisper White Cardstock
Pumpkin Pie ink
Looks Like Spring stamp set (harlequin pattern)
Vintage Brads
Sorry my photography hasn't improved much!
Tip: Sponge around the edges of your cardstock with the same coloured ink as cardstock to bring warmth to your card.

Love you Zoe!

Our little preppie mailed us a letter from school recently, as the class is learning about Australia Post and how it works.
To that end, we decided to mail her back this card that I made earlier in the week. I used All In the Family to stamp up our family, and flowers and brads from the Pretties Kit to embellish.

I can't wait for her to get it!

Special Sunday: A vellum card giveaway

Hello to all my Sunday girls!

Today's giveaway is a sample of our vellum cardstock. It is much thicker than the vellum paper and I love using it to give more of a 'stiff' look (ie if I stamp butterfly on it and fold up the wings I know they will stay there!).

Usual rules apply, first five Australian residents who are not already part of the SU! family are eligible.

Today, riddle me this - what is your favourite quote of all time?

More later,

Cass

Rockin' and a Rollin'

I think this is my favourite technique of the month! I was teaching a new stampers class yesterday and introduced them (and myself) to the Rock and Roll. We used the butterfly from Garden Whimsy, and I am just LOVING the results.

I'll put together a tutorial later on, so you can get your dancing shoes on too!

Crew Kids Girl

I am IN LOVE with this Simply Scrappin' Kit.

I cracked it open today after having it on my shelf for ummm....months now lol. I think it is one of the first things I bought from the new catty.

I used it to make 2 super quick cards and I am also making something that is a first for me - a journal/scrapbook for myself!

How cute is this card! I just cut one of the double-sided DSP in a certain way to get this piece and then stuck the image on.

No matter how many times I photographed this card it STILL came out blurry. I took 8 different pics before I gave up. It really is a beautiful card IRL!

And, for me...

Front cover

Inside cover and front page

Text inside front cover reads: It's not straight!! See, even I make mistakes!

Text on first page reads: The story. Me: Cass, Cassandra, Mummy, Mu-um, mamma, wife, friend, stamper, cook, sister, daughter

Turn the page to see the real me...

Page 3: post it note in place of baby photo of me

Birthday Flowers

My DSP scraps are getting a good workout today! Combined with Stem Sayings, Life Definitions and Bodacious Bouquet, it makes for a very quick and easy card. The Happy from Life Definitions didn't photograph too well as I used Soft Sky ink, but it is there!

Ahoy there!

Why is it that we always feel the most creative pull when the housework is screaming to be done?
Even Emma has made a card this morning! I will see if I can get it off her long enough to photograph it. It is for her beloved Miss Kylie, she loves making notes for her (I often wonder what she does with them lol)

Happy Queensland Day!

In our household, every day brings a new reason to make a card! Zoe wanted me to make one for her class to say 'Happy Queensland Day', and seeing as I was halfway through this one, and she only told me 10 minutes before leaving for school, I thought it was most appropriate :D

This card is one of those 'much prettier in real life' ones, as my photography still hasn't improved much, if any, and it was all I could do to get a pic before Zoe whisked it away to give to her beloved Miss B.

Materials:

Sage Shadow Cardstock (a fave for me at the moment)

Creamy Caramel Cardstock (the colour wheel told me it matched, I didn't believe it, but tried it anyway, and what do you know...it was right!)

Very Vanilla Cardstock

Bravo Burgandy Ink

Take Three stamp set

Flower and half cream pearl from the 'Pretties Kit'.

Keep the comments about my website coming (see post below)...I am loving the feedback! I really was unsure about such a big change, but all the comments so far have been positive.

I unexpectedly have a free day today, so look 0ut for some new creations after I spend some time doing some housework (yuck!).

Finally a sunny day on the Gold Coast, hope you are enjoying your day wherever you are!

Handmade By Jackson

Jack is off to a birthday party today, so we have just sat down and made the birthday card. Jack was artistic director, and stamper, and I did some of the putting together.

I am very proud of my little man!

A close up of the card...
