When I first saw this set it didn't appeal to me all that much, but Kim brought it up with her, so I thought I may as well have a play.

The heart just works SO well with the Black Magic technique, so I am going to have to sneak in some more stamping before she goes!

Thanks to everyone who has emailed me so far. I am working my way through the list, so next week should be a good week for many with little pressies arriving in the mail!

On another note, I am off to the hospital this morning, mum is having another surgery. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers today.

Back with some cards!

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the no-show the last ?? days. I needed a mental health break (don't we all occasionally!) and have been busy getting things in order, playing with my kids and *gasp* cooking occasionally.

I do have two cards to show you, I am loving this layout right now, and love how with a quick change of colour and stamps it can be for any occasion.

Would love to see what you can come up with using this layout! Card dimensions are 10.5cm x 10.5cm.

Olive matting is 9.5cm x 9.5cm

Whisper White matting is 9cm x 9cm

The squares you'll have to play with because I didn't write the sizes down lol I did use the square punches for some of it though.

I have craft group here tomorrow, so look out for some new creations from me after that!

Also, Crafty Kim (guest blogger, upline and long time friend) is staying with me with her son Ash for a few days, so watch this space in case I can persuade her to do some more guest blogging!

When I first saw this stamp set it didn't really appeal to me. Then, as usually happens, I saw a card someone had done and fell in love with it!


So, after having a play, I came up with this :)

Special Sunday: A DSP giveaway!

Kids - who'd have 'em?

ME - a million times over!

Conversations in my house went like this today...

Conversation one:

Em: (carrying my handbag in from the car) "I'm the mummy, I'm the mummy"

Me: "Does that mean you are going to put the dishes away?"

Em: "Nah, that is what the Daddy's do"

Me: (almost falling on floor laughing) "But there's no daddy here, so will the mum do it?"

Em: "Nah, you're the daddy and I'm the mummy"

Me: UNIMPRESSED and LAUGHING at the same time!!

Conversation two:

Z: "What do we like to do together mummy?"

Me: "read, why?"

Z: "I am writing a book called My Mum and Me"

Me: (grinning) "Show me"

Z: (brings me book) "My mum and I like to play. My mum and I like to craft. My mum and I like to read. My mum and I like to laugh. My mum and I like to sing. My mum and I have fun when we are together."

Me: Lost for words.

My precious 5yo, who can't even read, has copied words from other places and written and illustrated a book about what we like to do together.

When she finished it I'll put up pics!

Artfully Asian bundle

I got this gorgeous RAK from Nela today.

She makes such beautiful cards, and has inspired me to get the Artfully Asian bundle that is on special this month. I have been umming and ahhing about it, and this has tipped me over the edge lol
